Convertics documentation

Install Convertics on any website or Chrome extension, track events, connect your AI assistant and use the API.

Quick start: any website

Your public key is in the dashboard under Access. The same tag works on every framework above.

index.html
<!-- paste before the closing head tag -->
<script src="https://scripts.convertics.ai"
data-public-key="PUBLIC_KEY" defer></script>
✓ first visitor shows up live in your dashboard

Chrome extensions

Bundle the npm package so there is no remotely hosted code, add "storage" to your manifest permissions, and initialise it in your popup, options page and content scripts. Installs, uninstalls, versions and surfaces are tracked automatically.

background.js
$ npm i @convertics-ai/script
// popup, options page and content scripts (Manifest V3)
import { init } from "@convertics-ai/script"
init("PUBLIC_KEY", { type: "extension" })

Custom events

Call track with an event name and any properties. Events show up live and are available to the MCP.

app.js
import { init } from "@convertics-ai/script"
const convertics = init("PUBLIC_KEY")
convertics.track("summary_generated", { words: 412 })

Connect an MCP client

Your MCP URL and secret key are in the dashboard under Access. Claude Code takes one command; see the Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT pages for the rest.

terminal
$ claude "Set up Convertics analytics in this project.
Follow: https://convertics.ai/setup.md"
→ browser opened: sign in, pick a project, paste back your keys
✓ tracking installed ✓ convertics-analytics · connected · 24 tools

Stuck? Ask your AI.

The setup prompt does the install for you, in Claude Code or Cursor.
