Questions

Chrome extension analytics FAQ

Does it work with Manifest V3?

Yes. Convertics ships as an npm package that you bundle into your extension, so there is no remotely hosted code. Initialise it in your popup, options page and content scripts with type set to extension.

How are uninstalls tracked?

Convertics sets your extension’s uninstall URL to a signed Convertics endpoint, so each uninstall is recorded with the version and the parts of the extension that person used.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome today. Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari and Opera are on the roadmap.

Do I need my own backend?

No. Events go straight to Convertics. You can also send server-side events from your own backend if you have one.

Can I see my extension and my website together?

Yes. Add your domains and your extension IDs to one project and they share a dashboard, a live view and an MCP connection.

Know how your extension is really used.

Free to start. Live data a couple of minutes after you install.
